Who's Involved?
Hopefully, all of us.
Everyone involved in the Siuslaw Public Library District strategic planning process wants to involve as many of the residents of the Siuslaw Public Library District as possible! The library is engaging in a community-led planning process because, like you, we are all members of this community. We also have some champions, community experts, partners, and a consultant helping to lead the way.
The strategic planning process will give the Siuslaw Public Library District (SPLD) a decision-making framework for the next few years, helping us navigate both big choices, like our budget, and smaller ones, like how to frame a program. With so many community needs and limited time, we can't do everything — so a strategic plan helps us figure out what success looks like and keeps our work relatable, achievable, and actionable.

Members of the Siuslaw Public Library District staff, elected board, and consultant Dr. Audrey Barbakoff met to discuss the library's mission, core values, and the strategic planning process as part of a day-long retreat.
